Doubling Talents started with a yard, a garden, and a simple conviction: what God entrusts to us is meant to be used for others.
It started with one garden.
Doubling Talents began with a home in Charleston, SC, a backyard that could grow more than it was growing, and a family willing to put it to work for someone else.
We started growing food and giving it away. Then we started teaching others to do the same. We watched small plots produce real harvests, and those harvests become meals, relationships, and multiplication we hadn’t fully anticipated.
The name comes from Matthew 25. The servants who doubled what they were given heard: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” That is what we are trying to do — one yard, one garden, one harvest at a time.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Charleston, SC. Everything we do is rooted in a Christian understanding of stewardship: what God places in our hands is not ours to hoard, but ours to cultivate and release for the good of others.
Three ways we put it to work.
Grow and Share Food
We grow fresh produce and share it with individuals, families, and organizations. The harvest is not the end — it moves outward.
Teach Practical Gardening
We teach hands-on gardening so knowledge doesn’t stop with us. Communities that grow their own food are more resilient and more generous.
Encourage Multiplication
We demonstrate what is possible on an ordinary property and encourage others to ask: what could what I already have become?
